2011 Murano Button On Door Handle Not Working

Started after the lights were flashing as though the door was open but it was not.

Once you remove that cover there is a lever in there you need to pull. Do not forcibly remove the torx bolts. It is not the key fobs as i removed the batteries from both fobs last night and the windows were down by morning. The nissan murano now uses an intelligent key system for entry.

You can press a button on the remote or press a switch on the door handle. Essentially there are two methods to unlock the vehicle doors and both methods require the factory programmed key fob. After this separate the key cylinder rod from the key cylinder assembly and while pulling the outside handle the door key cylinder assembly can be removed.

Now unable to open the door with any of the buttons on the key or in the car.
