2008 Jeep Liberty Sunroof Leak

One time it was even in the hand grips on the inside of the doors. Torrential or long sustained rainstorms eventually allow water to get past the rubber seal and overwhelm the small drain pipes that run from the edge of the sunroof frame to the front. I ve already determined which drain is leaking and normally that can be done by having an idea where the water is leaking or gathering. However the failure recurred. The jeep people won t help me. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired three times for the same failure. The dealer replaced the seal on sun roof. First you will need to open the sunroof as this is the easiest way to access the drains.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure recurred numerous times. Had a leak in my 2008 jeep liberty in 2011 supposedly it was fixed water was leaking from the front of the car to the back water stains all over. If your jeep liberty has a sunroof i suspect the rubber seal around the sunroof glass needs to be replaced.

We are looking for a hole which is at the base of the sunroof trim or frame. There is over an inch of water on the floor of the front and the back. Average failure mileage is 59 850 miles.
