I m looking at a 2003 jaguar xk8 with 69 00 miles on it.

We have a 2003 xk8 convertible with windows that drop down when opening the door but go right back up when releasing the handle so that the door will not close without the window hitting the top. This is the normal function of the jaguar xk8 convertibles cars door windows. The door opens but the outside handle sticks open and the door won t latch. I shoved some small bits of stiffish wire into the plugs sockets cheaper.

It still is doing the same thing. They should stay in the drop positon until the door is closed. The reason for this design is to clear the door glass from the convertible top once you open your door. The manual said to lower the window and hold for 5 seconds and do the same when raising the window.

Each time you pull up on the outside door handle the window will automatically lower by about a inch. I tried to program the window as stated in the manual.
