1998 Chevy Silverado Power Door Locks Not Working

I have a 1986 chevy silverado k10 with auto door locks.

You push a button and they lock. However vehicles without door lock cylinders will not be able to lock or unlock the doors until power is restored. I have to lock unlock the door with the key. 2009 silverado 1500 3 doors all except drivers door not functioning correctly and failing more than working.

1998 silverado door lock. So your truck is an obs gmt400 and you should be looking for info up to 1998 not 2000. The door locks began not opening keyless entry will disarm but the door locks don t open. Dealership wants 750 to repair.

For vehicles with traditional style door lock cylinders and keys a bad power door lock relay will merely disable the power door lock feature. The door lock relay is located under the center of the dash.

I read right past the c3500 part of your post. For vehicles equipped with door lock cylinders the door can still be opened using the key. Some drivers experience automatic unlocking of the doors while driving while others complain about the truck unlocking its doors automatically once it is parked without command. So if your power door locks aren t working it could be due to bad wiring a bad switch or even the actuator.

Niether door lock button will operate the locks but the key fobe remote will. The power door lock on the driver side does not work if i unlock the truck with a key. You are able to unlock the truck from the passenger side any time. Found one 15a fuse right above the two door lock relays that does not get.

Hooked it and the battery up the next day and still not working but not burning this time. Seemed to be coming from the door lock switch. You push another button and they unlock. Sorry but i m not an installer just an owner trying to find a solution.
